Please feel free to peruse my various ensembles and concert experiences. I don’t think there’s anything quite as fun as energetic ensemble playing.
Delius Cello Sonata
-
This is me playing in the final of the prestigious John Barbirolli Memorial Prize 2024 at the RNCM.
I fell in love with the Delius cello sonata - a completely underplayed hidden gem of a piece - and was so happy to perform it. It’s a sonata in a single movement with a dreamy middle section and deceivingly unpredictably challenging harmonies.
I worked with my friend Tristan MacWhirter as the accompanist for this competition.
Bukinik Concert Etude No.4
-
This piece was prepared for my final recital for my Master’s degree at RNCM.
It is extremely challenging but equally fun.
Tchaikovsky Nocturne Op.19 No.4
-
Performed alongside Tristan MacWhirter on the piano. 3rd December 2025 in Southport
The piece was originally written in 1873 as a part of 6 short pieces for piano, but Tchaikovsky arranged it for cello for a concert in 1888.

This is the world premiere of Tom Harrold’s Raze played at the Royal Albert Hall by the BBC Proms Youth Ensemble for the last night of the proms 2016.

Cassado Solo Cello Suite
-
Performed on 3rd December 2025 at Christ Church in Southport as the final piece in an hour-long recital.
The piece was composed in 1926, around 200 years after Bach’s cello suites, you can hear this connection in its dance-like movements, but with a distinctly Spanish flavour.

Popper Requiem

This is a performance taken from an annual Suzuki course called Cellofest. Whilst the course is mainly focused on family workshops and early students, there are plenty of opportunities to form and perform ensembles with aspiring and professional musicians. This performance features Rosie Biss, Alec Smith and Tony Ingham.

Vivaldi & Purcell
-
Played a gig of Vivaldi’s Gloria and Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in July 2025 in Stoke Newington Cathedral.
We had 2 rehearsals before the performance, to get through 2 hours of music. Safe to say I was sight-reading almost the entire gig.
I’ve cut it up the solo cello moments into a highlight reel.
Delius Romance for Cello & Piano
-
Such a beautiful piece. Written in 1889, it displays Delius’ unpredictable harmonies and magnificent melodies.
Played with Tristan MacWhirter
Elliott Carter!!!
-
In February of 2023 BCMG rehearsed and performed an hour and a half of Elliott Carter music. It’s very challenging for the performer as well as the listener. The shaky cam is very fitting
